A Not-So-Exciting Adventure with Noodle & Dad: "Wally World"
Little Noodle was very happy that day. Why, you ask? Because her dad had just told her something very exciting, so exciting she could barely contain herself. He had announced he was going to Wally World, and he invited her to go with him. She couldn’t believe it! She was going to a glorious place with clouds of cotton-candy that had merry-go-rounds with real live ponies and majestic creatures. Her mother looked perplexed as Noodle reacted with such enthusiasm to join her father. She shrugged it off as her husband and daughter left the house. Noodle looked out the window the whole way, holding her breath waiting for the magical land to appear. Confusion swept over her rose-cheeked face framed with a bowl cut as her dad pulled into the parking lot of Walmart. He parked the car and turned to the backseat. “You ready?”
“What?” was all that escaped her tiny lips as suddenly the expected imaginary world became just that. Imaginary. She experienced a feeling similar to that of Will Ferrel in Elf when he discovers the shiny mailroom is nothing but bins and paper. That was a lesson she’d never forget. Never go with dad when he says he’s going to Wally World. It is not a magical place. This has been a not-so-exciting adventure with Noodle and Dad.
