Nothing Matches, but Nothing is Random

Our House. Our Apartment. Our Home. Have you ever looked at an expensive suit jacket before? A really nice blazer, perhaps? Thousands of threads make up that outerwear piece. Many of them are colors you wouldn’t expect, but you only notice them when you look closely. Yet, the jacket makes complete sense as a whole. It completes your ensemble, giving you confidence. Our home is like that. When I talk about where we live, I usually say, “our house”, but when I think about it, it’s really an apartment. But overall, it’s our home. No matter what I tend to call it, it’s similar to a suit jacket. Inside is a plethora of well-crafted, thought out designs of decor, most of which are vintage or up-cycled in some way. The colors vary, but somehow come together for an all-around cabin-chic feel. When you walk through our front door, the details can overwhelm your senses, and yet put you at peace at the same time. You’ll notice almost nothing matches, yet nothing is random. Each piece was carefully planned, created, and placed in a way to inspire, comfort, and shine in its own unique way. That’s the vibe of my home I want to always feel. I hope you feel it in your own place, a space of beautifully crafted intention.
